Early Summer 2014 - Still Catching Up

Here comes SUMMER....

I am always interested in how other people live... Below a few impressions of my lovely friend Reggie's house, to me this is a real summer house!  Reggie is another German in Suffolk and together we dream of German things like 'Kaffee & Kuchen'... And our dogs are BEST friends too - so lots of walks with her beautiful German Pointer 'Duke' and little 'Crumbs' - they make quite a pair!

A visit to West Green House Garden in early June - WELL worth a visit should you be in the area!!! I have a thing for clean lines and topiary, no disappointment here! In contrast to all the tidiness they had THE most beautiful selection of roses and cottage garden planting - to me this makes for the perfect mix!

The middle of June saw the 2nd exhibition at The Boule-in, the "Jardin du Monet" - the one week long French sale always starts with a big party and pre-view on the Friday night - Cathy's lovely daughter Rosie perfomed with her Jazz Band - a fun party on a perfect summer's evening....

Midsummer in Bildeston.....and a fund raiser for our yearly Music Festival. This fund raiser was a shared event between B Natural and the church. B Natural is unthinkable without well, music of course, but also bunting. We have been making bunting for the past 3 years and always go mad with it - and the vicar allowed us to deck out the whole church...

A mini break towards the end of the month... and a visit to the the North Norfolk Coast:

Wells-next-the sea...one of Crumbs' favourite spots.... we are LOVING the K-9 Club!

Pretty Blakeney...always lovely! We stayed at The Boathouse and had our very own little tower....sat there with morning coffees and sun downers overlooking Blakeney harbour.

A walk around Blakeney....which is full of prettiness!!

A visit to Burnham Overy Staithe....very much loved by Crumbs...water...mud...balls... Then on to trendy Burnahm Market.

We became regulars at the wonderful Stifky Stores - their coffee is just perfect!

Morning Walk over to Wiveton Hall....

The reason why we had chosen North Norfolk this time of year....a Birthday Party!! The birthday girl had rented a cottage, Church Cottage in Morston - a lovely time was had by all in a very beautiful setting....!!!

Back home just in time for the annual Chelsworth Open Gardens in out neighbouring village...I seem to take the same pictures every year....:)

SORRY about floods and floods of photos!!!

Next: July!

Love

Nicola x
